Prof. Trillas participates in the Symposium celebrated in Seville with the lecture “T34 Biocontrol®, a new biofungicide for plant protection” invited by IQV Agro, the distributor of the product in the Iberian Peninsula.
Between the 25th and 27th of January 2017, took place in Seville the 14th Edition of the Spanish Symposium on Plant Protection under the title "Towards change". The inventor of T34 Biocontrol® is selected finalist of EU Prize for Women Innovators 2017.
The co-inventor of Trichoderma asperellum strain T34 and founding partner of Biocontrol Technologies, Dr. Maria Isabel Trillas, has been selected as finalist for the contest organized by the European Commission. The award recognize the talent of women entrepreneurs who have successfully brought innovations to the market.
Twelve outstanding women entrepreneurs who have brought their breakthrough ideas to the market are entering the final stage of the EU Prize for Women Innovators 2017. The shortlist of contestants was announced 24th January by the European Commission. The contestants come from seven different European countries and they have all benefitted from EU research and innovation funding at some point of their careers, and founded or co-founded a successful company based on their innovative ideas.Read More >>

Extension of uses of T34 Biocontrol® in UK.
The HSE have granted new (off-label) authorizations that allows the British growers to use the product in a wide range of protected crops.
The product T34 Biocontrol®, a highly effective biological fungicide based on Trichoderma asperellum strain T34, was authorized last January by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in UK for protected tomato, pepper, chilli and aubergine with the MAPP Number 17290, which expanded the authorization for protected ornamentals and forest nursery obtained in 2012.Read More >>
